Description
The long awaited 991 GT3 RS was presented at the 2015 Geneva Show as no "RS" version had been offered since 2011 and the 997 GT3 RS 4.0. Based on the standard GT3, its most notable modifications were a 72mm increase in track width, carbon fiber front panel and bonnet, a recalibrated differential with electronic torque vectoring, rear wheel steering, and flared wheel arches.
These modifications transformed the car’s handling, compared to the baseline GT3, giving it greater agility in low speed corners and considerably more stability in the high speed ones. Capable of lapping more than 7 seconds quicker than the standard version, it instantly became one of the best GT3's and the most sought after GT3 ever.
This outstanding example was ordered by a Luxembourg collector from Porsche Antibes in France on October 8th 2015. The car was delivered on March 17th 2016 and immediately registered in Luxembourg. It was very soberly configured with the following:
- Argent GT for the body
- Black interior ( 79 )
- Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes - PCCB ( 450 )
- Speed regulator ( 454 )
- Front axle lift ( 474 )
- Pack Audio Plus ( 490 )
- Telephone equipment ( 619 )
- Pack Sport Chrono
- Floor mats ( 810 )
- Anti glare mirrors ( P13 )
- PCM ( P23 )
- DEL lights ( XEY )
Immediately after delivery, a transparent protective film was applied to the front. The car has mainly been enjoyed in the South of France and was serviced in 2017 at Porsche Beausoleil ( Monaco ) having covered 7,047km and again in 2022 at 10,755km when it was also fitted with a new set of tires. It has never been driven on track and has been sensibly enjoyed by its distinguished enthusiast owner. The body is still immaculate and has never been repainted.
Now offered with only 13.200 km from new, this one owner and much cherished GT3 RS is truly in as new condition. It comes with the original order form and invoice, all of the service records and manuals, and would satisfy the most discerning Porsche enthusiast.
